Our founding story

Since 1979, the company fohrmann-WERKZEUGE , founded by Norbert Fohrmann in Waltrop, has stood for high-quality special tools, especially for model makers and precision mechanics.

Fohrmann Tools in transition at the turn of the millennium

In 2001, Roland Kühn took over as the new managing director of the company. Together with his wife, Patricia Kühn, they continued to run it with great dedication in Görlitz and constantly optimized the processes. Now, after more than two decades, they are entering their well-deserved retirement.

At the end of December 2024, the last package left the Görlitz warehouse. All goods and machinery were carefully packed and transported to the new location in Schönwald in the Black Forest. There, they found a new home and were seamlessly integrated into the existing processes during the first two weeks of 2025.

This was made possible by the exceptionally good and close cooperation between the Kühn family and the new owners, Nadja and Markus Fehrenbach. During an intensive transition phase, all processes were meticulously handed over to ensure a seamless continuation of the business. Shared values ​​and a long-standing partnership facilitated the transition and laid the foundation for a successful future.

With the takeover by the Fehrenbach family, Fohrmann's traditions will be preserved, proven structures will be continued, and new ideas will be added. Customers can continue to rely on the usual high quality and reliability.
